Everyday I walk through the streets of Nkwashi I am awe struck by the nature that surrounds it. Today I sat staring the mountains, earphones in, the music carrying me in ways my legs couldn’t, they do not have the muscle strength to survive a hike up these beautiful hills, but I digress.
I perched myself at the dam, I have always found water soothing, and when I pulled out my pen and notebook, this was going to be a blog about the dam. But as I looked passed the water, I could see the peaks of the mountains beyond, the sun hiding behind it. The tranquility of the scenery here does not cease to amaze me and fuel my need to create art.
Sitting here, taking in the fullness of the mountains, nature’s sculptures, each with ya unique ridges, crevices. No two hills looked the same, lined against the sky like a painting on a canvas, they almost look surreal.
As you take a moment to take in the scenes Nkwashi has to offer, remember to look beyond, because there’s always something more to gaze at.
